Spring is a time of birth on the farm. Over the last few weeks we have had dozens of new piglets arrive, as well as lambs, a calf, and the newest arrival: a long awaited baby donkey! Here are two photos by Paul Avis, one of piglets racing and the second of mother and baby donkey (she is just over one week old and already so big.). A presto!

Fall Interns Arrive!

5 September 2007

group-shot-002.jpgBenvenuti to our newest batch of interns who arrived on the farm just over a week ago. They are already settled in and working hard. Here is a photo of them after a long work morning and a quick lunch, having hungrily wolfed down leftovers and other lunch creations in the Pulcinelli kitchen, before heading out to work in the afternoon.

Other photos include: a fig ripe for the picking and the sweetest baby lamb who’s mother died after giving birth and who is now being patiently bottle fed by our new pastorella and the rest of the animali crew. A presto!
