Earlier this month, Spannocchia was featured in a very interesting green-focused blog, Living Green. The entry is a question and answer interview with Spannocchia Foundation members’ the Stearns family, who just got back from a trip to Spannocchia.

On Sunday, July 29th nature/history guide Lorenzo Anselmi led the second in a series of three walks originating from Spannocchia. We began by heading through the woods to Stigliano, once there we went across to Torri to visit the famous cloister opened especially for us. After a picnic lunch overlooking the Rosia valley, we went for a quick stop in Rosia for cold drinks and icecream (temperatures were soaring by mid-point in our walk and we all needed a cool-down) we then walked to Ponta della Pia and the beautiful Santa Lucia hermitage both on the Spannocchia property then headed straight up (literally!) through the woods to Spannocchia. If you will be at Spannocchia on September 8th, you can join us for our last guided walk of the year. A presto!
