Guest Services Internship Program
The Guest Services Internship Program is a hands-on learning experience in our agriturismo (farm stay). Interns learn about guest services working alongside our Italian staff, performing tasks such as meal set-up and serving, guest check-in and check-out, tending to gardens, cleaning the pool, and light bookkeeping. The experience is an introduction to the various themes of Spannocchia including agricultural tourism, farming, sustainability, community living and Tuscan culture. Each week consists of 30+ hours of hospitality work complimented by bi-weekly Italian language instruction and educational presentations. Due to scheduling difficulties, guest services interns do not attend the farm interns’ bi-monthly fieldtrips. Independent travel and exploration of the surrounding regions of Italy is highly encouraged to provide an even broader experience to participants.
