Visual Explorations with Jerrod Partridge
July 19 - July 25
You have never really seen something until you have tried to draw or paint it. We invite you to join fellow artists for a week long visual exploration to “really see” the splendid Tuscan region of Italy based at the medieval castle and organic agricultural estate of Spannocchia. In addition to your own exploration you will have the opportunity to learn various drawing and painting techniques from professional artist Jerrod Partridge. The beautiful and luscious spaces of the estate will serve as our outdoor studio for instructed drawing and painting on the grounds. While most of our time is spent at Spannocchia, participants will have the opportunity to sketch, shop, and sight see in Siena and Florence.
The program includes:
1. All art instruction.
2. Seven nights’ accommodations (six at Spannocchia and one in Florence).
3. Transportation from the Florence airport to Spannocchia on the day of arrival, transportation for all scheduled off-property excursions, and transportation to Florence on our last full day in Italy.
4. All meals at Spannocchia beginning with dinner Friday evening, July 13, through breakfast on Thursday, July 19. Also included is a group dinner in nearby Siena, and breakfast on Friday, July 20, our last day – 16 meals total.
5. Historical tour of the castle, Cinta Sinese (pig) tour, wine tour, and olive oil tour. (Spannocchia)
