Program Coordinator Bio
Doris Rice is a watercolor painter from New Hampshire. She received her formal art training at the Moore College of Art, Philadelphia. Her teaching takes her on location, locally in New England as well as across the US and Europe. She is an experienced traveler, guiding participants to fascinating historic sites. She prefers to paint in plein air, finding her artistic inspiration from the great outdoors. Collectors would look for impressions of a location, national and international scenes.
Doris’ Artistic Statement:
“I want to capture the immediacy of a place in time. Sensory feelings of light, mov ement, sound and fresh air combine for a painting, which is alive with energy.”
