OCTOBER 2025 THEME: LEGENDS & GHOST STORIES OF SPANNOCCHIA

In addition to special events and improvements around the property, each month we will be highlighting a different theme that is central to Spannocchia's values, history, or current mission. In October, we are focused on the LEGENDS & GHOST STORIES OF SPANNOCCHIA.

There are many legends and ghost stories linked to Spannocchianot surprising for a property that has existed for 800 years! Whether it’s sensing a presence in the Villa or seeing Pia floating above her bridge as you approach the property at night, we’ve been captivated by supernatural stories and paranormal perceptions at Spannocchia for decades. Artist and longtime friend of Spannocchia (and former Education Director) Rusty Lamer put pen to paper this month to capture some of the more fantastical spirits you might find on the farm. . . let us know if you happen to encounter any of these on your next visit! (Scroll down below the comic for the English translation, if you need it!)

Thank you, Rusty (and Lydia!), for indulging our imaginations with this creepy comic!
